But, this is my home that I love. A large new family is blooming and we’re starting a campaign called #SaveTheUP. As poverty in Michigan is on the rise, the Upper Peninsula needs us the most.

As the following data suggests, the whole state could use a boost. We think we can make a difference here, and united we stand, to spread the love.

Kids Count report: More Michigan children living in high-poverty areas

Michigan is the sixth-worst state for children living in poverty, and Detroit has the largest concentration of poverty, according to a Kids Count, a project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
